Web Worx Launches Internet Marketing Courses To Help Small Businesses Succeed Online
10/06/2010Web Worx Launches Internet Marketing Courses To Help Small Businesses Succeed Online
Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK, 10/06/2010
Internet marketing company; Web Worx have launched a range of internet marketing courses specifically aimed at the small business owner. The training courses, delivered as one to one business workshops are tailored to the individuals industry and business. "We don't believe that sitting in a room with 30 other delegates to learn about marketing theory and complex algorithms is a way for a small business to increase their earnings," says Mark Bailey, founder of Web Worx and Course Developer.
"Web Worx wanted to offer a service that was tailored and relevant to the small business owner. We want to show businesses where to concentrate their online marketing efforts, where to list their product, how to improve their website. Practical, specific workshops which take into account individual resources, budgets and objectives - You can't get this sat at the back of a classroom, wondering how you could ever implement the material being presented."
While almost every UK business has a website these days; it has been reported that a massive 70% of those website owners are dissatisfied with the way their website is performing. We asked Mark Bailey whether it would not be better to outsource the work rather than investing in training and resources needed to market a company website in-house. He replied "Without any support or guidance it's risky, internet marketing is a minefield, a mix of conflicting information, unscrupulous SEO companies, monthly contracts and get rich quick schemes. Attending an internet marketing course will mean you will be able to avoid the pitfalls and ensure your spending in the right places. The best reason to train yourself or your staff members is that it works out a lot more cost effective in the long run and those skills can be applied to future projects. You are also in complete control over your internet marketing campaign."
There is no doubt that the UK economic crisis is set to have a profound effect on every small business in the country but Mark states that embracing what the internet has to offer is a way to ride it out - "We can help you improve your website, increase your online visibility, gain new customers, contacts, and most importantly increase your revenue."
When asked for the best piece of advice he could offer to small businesses in their internet marketing efforts Bailey replied; "If you want instant results - don't become fixated by being on Google page 1. Search engine optimisation can be a lengthy process - especially if the terms you want to target are competitive and lengthy means more costly. There are lots of other online platforms to present your products and services which will give you instant returns. And before you invest in any internet marketing courses; make sure you website is user friendly so your efforts are not in vain.
