Top ten lists validate our efforts, say Learning Light and Creativesheffield
07/01/2011
Of the 31 names on the three lists published on 4th January, ten of them were delegates at the Summit, while a further five were invited to the Summit but were unable to attend.
In all, there were some 48 delegates at the Summit, which agreed a manifesto for e-learning and reviewed Learning Light's research on the UK and other European e-learning markets - ‘The UK e-learning market 2010', available from the Learning Light and E-learning Centre websites, price £499. The manifesto is intended to help delegates pursue dialogue with their national governments to establish a single, independent and impartial body representing the corporate e-learning sector."We were delighted to be able to host the European e-learning Summit," said Creativesheffield's director of business investment, David Fletcher. "It is encouraging to see that our view of who are the key influencers in the UK's and other countries' e-learning markets has now been largely confirmed by the 2011 ‘top ten' lists."
"I'm delighted to see that, this year for the first time, a member of the Learning Light team - Gillian Broadhead - has been named in the UK list," said David Kay, of Sero Consulting and the chairman of Learning Light, the Sheffield-based organisation which focuses on promoting the use of e-learning and learning technologies. "We feel that, in a small but significant way, this validates our efforts as an encourager and promoter of the corporate e-learning sector."
