Survive and Thrive - activities to help businesses and individuals sail through the economic storm

16/6/2009

a programme of bite-sized support is launched to help move business and people forwards

Anglia Ruskin University's Research, Development and Commercial Services (RDCS) team is launching a series of free of charge or subsidised seminars devised to help businesses and individuals adapt to the radically changed economic conditions.

In response to the recession, experts at Anglia Ruskin are offering a comprehensive programme of support, aimed at helping businesses, individuals, graduates and start-ups to weather the economic storm. The ‘Survive and Thrive' programme has been designed to help businesses and individuals not only to maintain position during the challenging conditions but to become more competitive; and so in a stronger position when the economy does eventually pick up.

Businesses are under pressure to cut costs, yet many training courses are expensive and difficult to fit in around work commitments. Training is essential in order to move businesses forward and maintain staff morale, so Anglia Ruskin University has designed flexible, bite-sized ways to develop staff through practical and topical seminars, workshops and short courses. And for those businesses facing potential staff cuts, Anglia Ruskin can provide specialist consultancy advice and support to staff at risk of redundancy.
