Succeeding in the Recession: Research Report Institute of Leadership & Management Tuesday 21 April 2009
12/3/2009
DIARY
NOTE...DIARY NOTE...DIARY NOTE
New research from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM), to be launched on Tuesday 21 April, will reveal what knowledge, skills and personal characteristics CEOs are looking for in their management teams, as they respond to the global recession.
In what promises to be a candid insight into the mindset of CEOs, (between 50 - 65 chief executives of medium sized enterprises will participate in comprehensive interviews), the research will act as barometer of the levels of confidence that the leaders of medium sized enterprises - many of which will become the big businesses of the future - have in the capabilities of their people.
The report entitled, Succeeding in the Recession, will identify where CEOs think the gaps are between the skills they require of their management teams, to strengthen their business and capitalise on new opportunities, and those that already exist. Could it be that some firms actually need to recruit for different skillsets, or should they invest in and train the ones they have?
