The economic climate has hit many industries, but none for sore not sure what this means? Should it be but nobody thought that the government's training sector to be one of them.

Training providers have been told by the Learning and Skills Council that due to the economic conditions, "certain elements of the guidance are being reappraised, which has resulted in a delay."

The funding was announced last month and due to be awarded in February, however the government have been forced to postpone the date stating the "fund will be allocated by the end of the financial year 2008/9."

Although the government are clearly struggling coming to terms with the current economic climate have they taken into account the knock on effect this may cause training providers, assessors and learners and the Train to Gain programme?
