Reinventing leadership development: 'One blend doesn't fit all'
24/06/2011
What learning delivery methods work best for busy executives, middle managers and new talent? 'One blend doesn't fit all' according to Reinventing Leadership Development, a groundbreaking study by Towards Maturity into the effectiveness of using learning technologies in this field. James Reed, MD of LMMatters, will be highlighting the results of this research in a webinar at 11am on 8 July, and suggesting some leadership and management development solutions.
Unique research - backed by leadership and
management online learning specialists LMMatters - reveals that,
contrary to expectations, when asked to identify managers' top three methods of
learning delivery, survey participants did not include 'the classroom'.
Many participants said that managers preferred solutions that either delivered
on-demand learning at the point of need - through the provision of timely
information - or immediate access to a community which could provide them with
support.
James Reed, MD of
LMMatters, will be touching on the results of this independent research study
and their implications for leadership and management development, in a webinar
at 11am on 8 July. He'll also show how the multi-media resource LMKnowledge can be
harnessed to help nurture talent, share knowledge and communicate with busy
middle managers and senior executives.
To register for the webinar please email Genevieve Allan gallan@lmmatters.com
or call 08451 707 700. All participants will be offered complimentary trial
access to LMKnowledge.
Highly regarded Benchmarking specialists Towards
Maturity carried out the independent research - 180 participants
contributed to the study: collectively they provide development opportunities
to more than 35,000 leaders and managers.
The executive summary of the report Reinventing Leadership Development
