Raptivity to Present HTML5 at Learning Technologies in London
The award-winning e-Learning software explains HTML5 and will showcase it in a free seminar at the conference
Jan 24, 2010:Raptivity, the award-winning software for creating rapid e-Learning interactivities is speaking at the Learning Technologies conference in London. Jayant Kulkarni, executive director of Harbinger Knowledge Products will be presenting on the topic "HTML5 and its role in e-Learning".
Learning Technologies is Europe's leading showcase of organizational learning and the technology used to support learning at work. "HTML5 is a technology for the web that is here to stay," said Kulkarni. "In this free seminar, we will explore how HTML5 is relevant to the work we do in e-Learning. What really excites me is that we will showcase interactivities and games built in HTML5 and the audience can see some of the HTML5 interactivities straight alongside the ones built in Flash."
Raptivity announced HTML5 support for some of its interactions in October last year. HTML5 is fast being supported on all web browsers, and e-Learning courses with HTML5 interaction models can play on iPhone and iPad devices as well.
"We saw a lot of interest in our HTML5 Pack when we launched it in 2010," said Vikas Joshi, chairman and managing director of Harbinger Group. "People have a lot of questions about HTML5, and we want to help them get the answers, and discuss how, if at all, HTML5 impacts e-Learning courses."
Raptivity allows trainers, educators and subject matter experts to create effective learning interactions quickly and easily. It uses Adobe Flash technology for its interactive learning content like quizzes, game shows, and has a list of over 245 interaction models. Some of them are also available in HTML5.
"The demonstrations we have lined up for the seminar and in our stand will show what HTML5 is capable of - on the web, on mobile devices, and for e-Learning content creation as a whole," added Mr. Kulkarni.
Learning Technologies will be held at Olympia, London on the 26th and 27th January 2011. The conference is now in its 12th year and will attract over 4,000 visitors.
