PREMIER IT GIVES 55,000 OF FREE TRAINING TO THE CHARITY SECTOR AND PLEDGES FURTHER COMMITMENT FOR 2012
05/01/2012
December saw the successful completion of the Premier IT 12 training days of Christmas competition where 12 organisations won Microsoft Applications training for their employees to a total value of £15,000. Winners included St John Ambulance, Arthritis Research UK, Leonard Cheshire Disability and Tearfund, which was the ultimate winner of £2,340 (12 days) of training.
Premier IT has also maintained an ongoing commitment to the Armed Forces throughout 2011, providing over £40,000 of free (or significantly discounted) training to members of The Officers Association who are transitioning into civilian life. This training has predominantly been in the area of PRINCE2 project management, to aid members in their goal of becoming qualified project managers, and has currently seen a 100% pass rate from all those who have attended. Support for the Armed Forces and The Officers Association will continue throughout 2012.
Peter Bodley-Scott, Director, Premier IT says: "we understand that budgets are tight, particularly for charitable organisations who are focused on achieving their missions. That is why, as a supplier to the sector, we continue to show our commitment to the organisations we work with and are doing our bit to help people upskill, retrain and expand the remit of their roles through training. In addition to supporting charity events and fundraising we feel it is important to give something tangible back to the sector too".
The next plan for 2012 is to design, develop and host a website for a charitable organisation using Premier IT's new CENTRIC CMS. The website will be completely free and involve 20 days of development time! Details of how organisations can apply will be released in the next few days! We will run other campaigns throughout the year to provide free cloud computing services and further training to the charity and not-for-profit sector.
