New E-learning Courses for Law Society / E-legal Learning for the Law Society
02/08/2011
Aurion Learning has been working with the Law Society of England and Wales to develop a new suite of e-learning programmes. Designed to support solicitors with their continuing professional development, the four e-learning titles cover SRA Principles & Code of Conduct; SRA Accounts Rules 2011; The Role of the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice; and the Bribery Act 2010.
Speaking about the new online courses, the Law Society's Publishing Manager Stephen Honey said:
"We have worked closely with Aurion Learning to develop this suite of high quality e-learning programmes for our members. These popular titles will be available online via our CPD Centre and we'd encourage everyone to log on and have a look.
As all our e-learning courses are accredited by the SRA, solicitors can use
them to contribute to their annual 16 hours of CPD without even having to leave
their desks."
Dr. Maureen Murphy Managing Director of Aurion Learning said:
"We developed this suite of e-learning courses for the Law Society to meet high
demand for training in these key areas.
Our SRA Principles & Code of Conduct
e-learning course allows solicitors to get to grips with the new
regulatory regime, whilst our SRA Accounts
Rules 2011 course allows learners to consider common accounting
issues in the context of practical scenarios. The
Role of the Compliance Officer for Legal Practice provides an
overview of the rules and regulations relating to
this new role, while our Bribery Act 2010 e-learning course provides an overview of the offences in the
new act and explains the procedures which firms will need to put in place to
ensure compliance.
As well as providing key knowledge and understanding, our e-learning courses
also offer solicitors a quick and easy way to take part in mandatory CPD."
