A leading management training and development company has strengthened its senior management team with three key appointments.

28/01/2011

Acua Limited, which is the corporate training subsidiary of Coventry University, designs and delivers accredited leadership and management programmes for public and private sector organisations across the UK.

Stuart Tizick, aged 40, has joined the company in Cheetah Road, Coventry, as Marketing Manager and is no stranger to the city since he completed his degree in business studies at Coventry University and worked at Dunlop Aviation.

His 20-year career in the marketing industry has also involved working at UK Drainage Network, HomeServe in Walsall, Martindales and Coventry Building Society in Binley, Coventry.

Stuart, who lives in Bedworth, said: "This opportunity really appealed to me and as soon as I saw the advertisement, I thought I could make a difference here.

"This is an exciting time for Acua which is going through rapid growth. We have clear ambitions that make it an attractive place to work.

"We work with national and international organisations which range from having 50 employees to 50,000 and we are able to tailor our programmes specifically for each client to provide the service they require."

Charlie Whitewood is Acua's new Corporate Services Manager after previously working at the Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency in Coventry where he was responsible for a team of 32 officers as Operations Manager.

The 38-year-old, who lives in Kenilworth, also worked for the Volkswagen Group for 11 years and on the launch of the Financial Times' website www.ft.com.

"Acua are going from strength to strength and their recent successes have confirmed the need for a corporate services function. My role will combine HR, IT, Finance and Administration and I will be leading the department using my skills from previous roles to ensure Acua continue to provide a professional service to clients.

"Building on what Acua already have in place I will be looking to enhance the team and processes to ensure a strong base for the future".

"Acua has huge ambition and I am delighted to be able to share my skills and experience to support Acua's continued expansion across the UK."

Completing the trio of management appointments is Regional Manager Drew Norton, who will be responsible for leading the company's business development teams in the north of England.

The 45-year-old, who lives in Huddersfield, said: "I have been presented with a fantastic opportunity and am excited about expanding our client base even further across the north.

"I have a team of business development managers based across northern England and will be implementing the northern sales strategy to continue growing the number of organisations we work with.

"We are already working with large organisations in the north and we are confident there are many more who could benefit from our services."

Drew's previous experience includes an 18-year career within the logistics industry as well as working at two recruitment agencies in West Yorkshire.
