The Charity Learning Consortium is making all of its eLearning absolutely free to all charities and not-for-profits for Adult Learners' Week in May, as part of its pledge to Race Online 2012.

The Charity Learning Consortium is giving Third Sector organisations free access to all of its courses for the whole of Adult Learners' Week, beginning Monday 16 May, as part of its pledge to the Race Online 2012 campaign.

Race Online 2012 is encouraging and supporting the nine million people in the UK estimated to have never been on the internet to get online, with the aim of the UK becoming a completely digital nation by the end of the Olympic year.

The Consortium is proud to be offering open access to all of its courses as part of its promise to the Race Online 2012 campaign - which is being spearheaded by digital champion Martha Lane Fox. By doing so, the Consortium is supporting National Learning at Work day, 19 May, which is part of Adults learners' Week, 16-20 May.

All of the CLC's comprehensive range of courses will be accessible to charities and not for profits for the entire week, beginning Monday 16 May. Courses on offer include a full range of computer and IT skills.

Soft skills and personal development courses include customer service, understanding budgeting and finance, communication, leadership and team development and assertiveness. With the choice of almost 150 topics, ranging from basic literacy skills to understanding body language and managing change, there really is something for everyone.

Martin Baker, who has spent 20 years working in eLearning, commented: "When I first formed the CLC, charities in the pilot were concerned that their staff would spend all of their time on eLearning courses instead of working. In my experience that has never happened, but I would love to be proved wrong on 19 May!

"I encourage all charities and not for profits to take advantage of this offer - it's a great opportunity for charities to support any staff that have never used the internet to do so."

Charities and not for profit organisations interested in free access to the Charity Learning Consortium's courses for Adult Learners' Week, 16-20 May, should email their request to Melanie Wenban, Customer Care Co-ordinator mwenban@charitylearning.org  by Thursday  12 May . We'll set up a charity pass, which will enable all staff within nominated Third Sector organisations to self register and log on.
