Description

You complete 4 general units:
1 Ensure safe site working
2 Diagnose and correct electrical faults
3 Provide technical and functional information
4 Maintain a safe and healthy working environment


You also do 3 specialist units:

1 Prepare to maintain electrical systems and equipment
2 Maintain electrical systems and equipment
3 Inspect, test and commission maintained electrical systems and equipment.

 

 

Objectives

For each unit you will be required to collect evidence of competency for three separate occasions, the evidence required will be explained to you during induction or beforehand by contacting us - The evidence you have collected will confirm you\'ve got the skills to do the job well and upon completion this NVQ will be recognised by the Joint Awarding Body (JIB) as you having proven your competency against the National Occupational Standards for Maintenance Electricians -

 

 

Who should attend?

Already working as a maintenance electrician, but with no qualifications as yet to prove your skills? With the Electrotechnical Services NVQ 2356, you can change that - It\'s a recognised way to prove you meet the National Occupational Standards for a maintenance electrician - based on your day-to-day work.

 

 

Pre-requisites

You require a minimum of two years’ experience in the electrical industry and should be working as an electrician or related role - However you don’t necessarily need to be employed to complete the qualification - You could be working on a voluntary basis installing electrical systems - You must also be able to cover all of the NVQ 3 Electrical Installation/Maintenance Units at your place of work -
