Our core training programmes are available as scheduled open courses, providing a cost-effective solution to clients only able to release trainees as individuals or in small groups.

Our training and assessment approvals include City and Guilds, RTITB, NEBOSH, IOSH, Construction Skills, Gas safe register and NET and our operating systems and working procedures are accredited by TUV in accordance with the BS EN IS09001: 2008 quality assurance standard.

Wakefield Skillcentre Company History:

The Skillcentre was originally part of the national network of government training centres. It was privatised in 1990 as part of ASTRA Plc and in 1993 became part of the Clothing and Allied Products Industry Training Board (CAPITB) group.

Present status: Wakefield Skillcentre Ltd is privately owned.

Wakefield Skillcentre Ltd was purchased though a management-buy-out from CAPITB in August 2003, and has grown under the new management structure. Our first objective was to update and improve our services and facilities, and put the Skillcentre back on the map.

The operations of the Company are directed by a Main board of Directors. The members of the board are:
